Dr Dilip Kumar is Consultant Interventional Cardiologist, Director Cath Lab – Medica Institute of Cardiac Sciences and Chief Academic Co-Ordinator at Medica Superspecilality Hospital, Kolkata. Dr. Dilip Kumar has been practising Interventional Cardiology for the last seven years. Before his present appointment he was Consultant Cardiologist at Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences and then Chief Interventional Cardiologist at Brahmanand Narayan Hrudyalaya.

Dr. Kumar has an MBBS in Medicine from IMS-Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-1994 TO 1999, MD in Medicine from IMS-Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-2000 TO 2003, INDIA, and an DM in Cardiology from the Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education-2004 TO 2007, Kolkata. He also did an advanced Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology from Catharina Ziekenhuis, Eindhoven, Netherlands.

Dr. Kumar is well experienced in Interventional Cardiology, having performed more than 10,000 Angiographies and over 2,200 Angioplasties. He has also done a number of Primary and Peripheral Angiographies and performed over 400 Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterisations in children and adults. Dr. Kumar is well versed in Pacemaker Implantations and his area of expertise also extends to diagnostic and therapeutic Electrophysiological studies. He has done Transcathether Closures of ASD, VSD and PDA, PTMC, RF Ablations, ICD/CRT Implantations, Renal Artery Stenting and IVC Filter Implantations.

Currently he is associated as Consultant Interventional Cardiologist with Medica Superspecilality Hospital, Kolkata, where his skills are in great demands among patients. Previously he was associated with Rabindranath Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Science and Brahmanand Narayan Hrudyalaya.
